CenturyLink and union fail to reach agreementOctober 7th, 2012 at 5:56 pm by Hawa Konte under News
CenturyLink and the union representing 13,000 workers in 13 states, including New Mexico, have failed to reach a contract agreement.
Now they have signed a day-to-day extension of the expired pact.
The contract expired at midnight.
Officials say negotiations will continue and workers will remain on the job during the extension.
One of the main sticking points in the contract is a proposed hike in health care premiums.
