The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta begins early Saturday with volunteers still needed for chase crews.

Late Friday a Fiesta spokesperson released this statement:

Balloon Fiesta is calling for additional chase crew volunteers. Chase crew volunteers must be 18 years or older or 12 years old and older and serve with a parent. Interested volunteers should come by the Balloon Fiesta field today before 7pm, to the Pilots Tent. There, they can sign up, watch a short video and receive crewing instructions. All chase crew members will receive a free weekly entry pass to Balloon Fiesta for their service.

Those that can’t make it to the field today can come to the field each morning at 5:30 am to volunteer. They should enter at Gates 8 or 9 at the south end of the field (they will have to pay admission for that morning only).
