The following is a list of nationally televised debates. All national debates can be seen online here: http://www.krqe.com/subindex/video/live_streaming KRQE News 13 will also host a one hour New Mexico Senate race debate between Rep. Martin Heinrich (D) and candidate Heather Wilson (R).
First Presidential Debate: Wednesday, October 3
Schedule: CBS coverage on KRQE News 13 will be 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Location: University of Denver, Denver, CO
Moderator: Jim Lehrer, Executive Editor of the PBS NewsHour
The debate will focus on domestic policy.
New Mexico Senate Debate: Thursday, October 11
Schedule: KRQE News 13 hosts this debate from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Moderator: Dick Knipfing
One New Mexico Senate seat is up for election this year; this debate will be between Democratic candidate Martin Heinrich and Republican candidate Heather Wilson. The Vice Presidential Debate will directly following the New Mexico Senate debate on KRQE News 13
Vice Presidential Debate: Thursday, October 11
Schedule: CBS coverage on KRQE News 13 will be 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Location: Centre College, Danville, KY
Moderator: Martha Raddatz, Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent, ABC News
The debate will cover both foreign and domestic topics.
Second Presidential Debate (Town Meeting): Tuesday, October 16
Schedule: CBS coverage on KRQE News 13 will be 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Location: Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY
Moderator: Candy Crowley, Chief Political Correspondent, CNN and Anchor, CNN’s State of the Union
The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues.
Third Presidential Debate: Monday, October 22
Schedule: CBS coverage on KRQE News 13 will be 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Location: Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL
Moderator: Bob Schieffer, Chief Washington Correspondent, CBS News and Moderator, Face the Nation
The format will focus on foreign policy.
