Mild week ahead, some changes

Storms fired over eastern New Mexico Sunday afternoon with much of the west staying dry.

Monday will mean even less in the way of storm coverage, with a few possible over the northeast.

High pressure to the west will help to keep the state rain free for a good portion of the week.

Most of us will have above normal temps as well, with Albuquerque hovering in the low 80s all week.

As Thursday approaches, a cold front will enter the northeast, dropping temps 10 to 15 degrees.

The front will not be packing moisture with it, but a second one for the weekend may.

It is too early to tell if it will bring rain for Balloon Fiesta, but cooler temperatures are in store.
