The northbound off-ramp from Interstate 25 to St. Francis Drive in Santa Fe will be closed overnight tonight, the New Mexico Department of Transportation has announced.

The closures begins at 8 p.m. and continues until 5 a.m. Saturday.

The closure is being done for safety reasons while contract crews involved in a major maintenance project work on a bridge above the ramp lane.

Work on the interchange will continue during the Labor Day weekend, but no other ramp closures are planned.

During the overnight closure motorists can either exit at State Route 599 or Cerrillos Road in southwestern Santa Fe or at Old Pecos Trail just past the St. Francis exit.
