Wild weather Sunday, more storms Monday
It was a wild weather day in New Mexico.
Just after noon a funnel cloud was spotted in the East Mountains with a storm that delivered hail and rain.
There have been no conformation yet that the funnel cloud made it to the ground, so the National Weather Service will hold off on classifying it as a tornado.
Elsewhere strong storms marched through the south and eastern part of the state Sunday.
Monday will mean another cold front dropping in from the northeast, with thunderstorms on tap.
Areas favored will be the north, northeast, central and southern parts of the state. Some storms in the northeast could be strong.
Albuquerque has a chance for storms Monday and Tuesday.
Toward the middle and end of the week, the weather will stay active as a system rolls through Central New Mexico enhancing storm coverage for central and western parts of the state.
Have a great week!
