Lowes looks to hire 300
Good economic news for Albuquerque.
Three hundred jobs could soon be up for grabs.
Lowe’s Home Improvement stores already opened a call center in Albuquerque.
There are 575 people employed and now Lowes is planning on renting another building and hiring another 300 people.
Bernalillo County is offering a $75,000 grant and a $10 million industrial revenue bond.
“We like outside employers to come in because they bring dollars into the community and so we are excited about Lowes and we hope this will be an example for other companies to look at New Mexico and look at Bernalillo County,” Maggie Hart-Stebbins said.

No jobs appear on their website. Where are they hiring them from?
The separate news story on this — http://bit.ly/Zpnz56 — isn’t specific about hiring but does say renovations to handle the expansion are underway and should be done in March.
