More that 100 appear in court to clear warrantsJune 30th, 2012 at 10:39 am by Bill Diven under News
The state court system is offering defendants with outstanding Magistrate Court warrants a chance to take care of them today.
The courts will offer “favorable consideration” to anyone with an active warrant who appears in Santa Fe Magistrate Court before noon today.
(Update: more than 100 people appeared in court to make arrangements to resolve their warrants. People with outstanding warrants are encouraged to surrender to the court issuing the warrant or call the warrant hotline at (505) 867-4360 for more information.)
Santa Fe’s Magistrate Court is at 2056 Galisteo St., but the offer applies to anyone with an active warrant from any Magistrate Court in the state, according to a statement from the Administrative Office of the Courts.
New Mexico State Police are planning a sweep for defendants with outstanding warrants, the statement adds.
