What You Missed Thursday MorningApril 26th, 2012 at 8:25 am by Matt Mauro under Morning Show, News
If you didn’t catch News 13 New This Morning, you missed a lot. We’d love for you to share your thoughts and opinions with us continue the conversation all day long.
Here’s a quick summary of some of what we talked about today:
- Distracted teen drivers
- NM poll on presidential election
- Price of prom
A new study shows teenage girls are more distracted when they drive than teenage guys. Bridgestone America did the study and says girls are 15 percent more likely to drive distracted than guys, because they’re often on their phones or playing with the radio. Earlier we asked whom do you think drives more distracted and @happy2moon and @PhilPaiz immediately tweeted back – girls! So, then why do guys pay more for car insurance?
Would you re-elect President Obama? A new survey from Public Policy Polling shows a majority of people in New Mexico would. The poll shows 54 percent of people here would vote for President Obama, while 40 percent would vote for Mitt Romney. We got a mixed response this morning – @thatkrazyone tweeted “Nope. Fool me once…” and @allenmaestas and @pambrooke agreed. However, @Mrhiiisox626 is for President Obama.
How much are your kids paying go to prom this year? A new survey shows the average prom date costs more than $,1000! Can you believe that? It includes the dress, tux, tickets, dinner, flowers, limo, etc. We thought that average was high. Do you agree?
