Weekend DWI Haul

Albuquerque police made a huge haul this weekend, at a drunk driving checkpoint near I-25.

APD’s DWI unit set up at San Mateo and the north-bound frontage road around 10 o’clock Friday night.

In five hours they made more than a dozen arrests.

A total of 18 people were arrested.

APD also seized two vehicles.

By late Saturday evening, more than half of the 18 people arrested had already bonded out of jail.

Some have faced DWI charges before.

It’s so funny how in the whole time I’ve lived in Albuquerque there has never been a roadblock on tramway near academy. God news that rich people and politicians never break the law. Dwi is a buisness. But just like everything else its the poor people that are the only offenders. If a roadblock was ever placed near these areas not only would there be arrest on politicians for dwi but the seizures would really worth more money with the cars the drive.. I hate albuquerque
