2.  Facebook reports a “distressing increase” in employers asking job applicants for their Facebook passwords as part of their background check.  That not only violates users’ privacy expectations but opens the employer to potential liability, according to Facebook.  Reporter Amanda Goodman takes a closer look on KRQE News 13 at 10 p.m.

1. The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded PNM a 2012 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award for its work and programs promoting energy efficiency.  PNM says those programs currently save 192 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, enough to power 26,600 average homes for a year.
