Burning ban hits NM county

A tough burning ban was issued for at least one New Mexico County.

Residents in Curry County are facing severe restrictions on open fires after county commissioners voted Tuesday to implement a fire danger emergency resolution.

The fire ban becomes effective immediately and contains limited exceptions for agriculture, such as controlled burns, under certain conditions.
