A front-end loader tumbled off a truck onto the median barrier late today blocking the left lanes and shoulder of northbound Interstate 25 north of Comanche Road.

KRQE News 13 photojournalist Ryan O’Connor reports the 18-wheeler and the loader are still together with the heavy equipment partially on the flatbed trailer and partially on the barrier.

The incident happened shortly before 6 p.m.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation says the cleanup “may take awhile.”
