The finalists to replace retiring University of New Mexico President David Schmidly are each making one-day visits to the campus and joining in three public forums.

The five candidates and the days of their visits are:

• Elsa Murano, former president Texas A&M, today.
• Elizabeth Hoffman, Iowa State provost, former president University of Colorado, Friday.
• Robert Frank, Kent State University provost, Monday.
• Meredith Hay, former provost University of Arizona, Tuesday.
• Douglas Baker, University of Idaho provost, Wednesday.

The forums are:

• Faculty-staff: 10:15-11:30 a.m., Student Union Building, Ballroom B
• Students:  11:45-1 p.m., Student Union Building, Ballroom B
• Heath Sciences Center:  3:45-4:30 p.m., Domenici Center auditorium
